Happy New Year - Sunday - January 1, 2012

Another year has come and gone!  I really enjoyed my first year of retirement except that we haven’t sold the house and Nancy is still working. That wasn’t quite the plan, but we made it work.

In all other respects, 2011 was a good year! We are both healthier than we have been in years… thanks to Nancy’s encouragement to eat better and exercise daily. We feel great and have more energy to do all the things we love to do.

Last night our good friends Bill and Cris helped us bring in the New Year. We played a “Seinfeld” version of Trivial Pursuit.

There were lots of laugh about the game and things that took place in the past year ;o))  As expected, we called it a night by 10pm and did not see the ball drop at midnight.  Somehow, for the last 10 years, the New Year comes in even when we don’t stay up to see the ball drop ;o))

Today, we enjoyed a New Year’s Day Brunch with Nancy’s mother.  It is 70 degrees, sunny, warm and hard to believe it is January 1st!

What a nice way to start off 2012!!
02 - New Years Day, Bill, Nancy, Mom

We did have a house showing yesterday – New Year’s Eve day.  The folks spent over an hour looking at the house.  Nancy and I are cautiously optimistic that early 2012 will see us closer to our dream of fulltiming :o))

In the meantime, we will continue to make the most of everyday.  With our family healthy and happy, we are truly blessed!!  We want to thank all of you for your encouragement and support.  Hope to meet up with many of you in 2012!!

Happy New Year!!!

  6. We love sleeping in the New Year, too. It takes a lot of sleep for me to stay this good looking.

We're with you all the way, we're all crossed up, fingers, toes, eyes that these showings are going to turn quickly into the sale.

Happy New Year, looking forward to meeting up with you soon. :c)
