Back In Murrells Inlet - Tuesday - January 31, 2012

Nancy here:   Vacation is Over ;o((

We arrived back at our former house just after lunch time today.
We are renting the house for 2 months
so we have a chance to sort and get rid of stuff.

I will go to work tomorrow and give my 2 week notice:o))))))

Bill will stay here and begin the BIG PURGE!!!
WOOO HOOO!!

Not exactly sure how everything will play out,
but we are on our way and could not be happier!!!

Here is what greeted us at the house today;o))

We now have our Motorhome Christmas Decorations for next year!!

I believe we have our Son, DIL
and
her parents to thank for this ;o)))

We have a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time.  I will try to catch up on the blog... It is so far behind and new stuff is happening faster than I can get to it.  Oh well, it is all good and will be done in its time.  Thanks for following our journey.  It continues to be an interesting time!!

  1. You will learn not to catch up but to pick up from when you get back on the road. It's not a test, just breif us in.

    It's about time.

  4. LOVE those decorations! That's some son, DIL and family you have. What fun! I'm sure you'll have room in the Journey for those flamingos. After traveling the Pleasureway you two know the real meaning of travel "lite".

Did you write the resignation weeks ago?? :-)

  5. Good luck in the great purge. I hear you can get an employee discount on paint brushes at Home Depot...as long as you buy them before you give notice! ;c)

  6. Love the flamingos -- what a hoot!

Good luck with the "stuff" removal. Just take it a day at a time. It'll get done.

  7. Hi Murrells Inlet, Mount Pleasant here. We still have a few years to go before we can full-time, but getting rid of stuff is already our top priority now. I'm learning that it is harder to do than it sounds.

    Congrats!!! (Love the flamingos)

  8. Good luck with the purge. We sold our townhome last spring in preparation for going on the road at the end of 2012, so we're halfway done with the purge ... what we kept will either go with us, or will go into storage after a second purge.

  9. The feeling of freedom as you get rid of "stuff" is amazing, even the stuff that you really liked. The thoughts that went through our minds were: "I am not responsible for that, anymore." AND "I don't have to take care of that anymore." AND "I am glad that someone from my family/friends can enjoy this now." Lots of work, but worth it.

  10. Ok, I know you 2! There's not anything left to purge. Bill should be done with that task by noon :)

How exciting to give notice today. Your next 2 weeks will fly by.

  11. Must feel good giving that two week notice. With so much going on the time will pass quickly.

  12. We had three weeks. Two months should be easier. Maybe you won't wake up at 1:30 and start packing because you can not sleep. Heck we don't need half the things we put into the MH... though it's only been 6 weeks since we left.

    See yall soon.
