Bill and I were born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, Pa. We only were a couple hours from the Amish Country near Lancaster, but never really had visited the area. So today, we wandered around the back roads taking in all the wonderful sites. It was a beautiful day and the views looked like Norman Rockwell paintings!!
We'll just let the pictures tell the story!!
Today was just WONDERFUL :o)))
Sherri and I loved this part of the country. We shopped and visited many places up there and plan on a return trip one day.

ReplyDeleteDid you notice the Amish buggy GPS feature?
ReplyDeleteThey just follow all the horse poop on the sides of the road to get to their destinations... ;c)
Those folks sure work hard, I know that for a fact but your pictures give such a relaxing feel. Hadd to laugh at the laundry on the line, you could take that in the farm's backyard. :-))
ReplyDeleteLove that clothes line photo! Great post!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful area
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to visiting that area. Your photos are beautiful and look like picture postcards.
ReplyDeleteWe used to make an annual pilgrimage to the Amish country every spring..was a long drive from the island, but we loved it...couldn't beat the food, antiques, shopping...and the guys played golf :-). Nancy's Corner was also an annual stop, as was Kitchen Kettle for jellies jams and pickles...oh, I can't wait to stop there on my way north in the spring!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very interesting place. We need to go there some time.
ReplyDeleteWe love Amish country...Shipshewanna, IN where we are now has much of the same scenes. The food is wonderful, so many beautiful farms. Never get tired of seeing how simply they live and how "green" their lives are. And the quilts--works of art. We loved Pennsylvania and can't wait to go back and visit again.
