Vacation Is Over - Sunday, January 23, 2011

We had an uneventful, but COLD ride home from Townsend, Georgia today.

Leaving Lake Harmony - Townsend, Georgia

We took our time coming home as neither of us wanted the vacation to end.  We even drove through, instead of around, Charleston.  We never ride over the new bridge, so that was fun!
Bridge in Charleston, SC

Over the last 2 1/2 weeks, we traveled almost 2000 miles (1996 to be exact) and had a ball.  Usually after a vacation we are ready to get back to normal...NOT THIS TIME!! We are ready to get this house sold and start full-timing!

But first, we need to unload the van, put the toys away and get some wash done!!
YES, Vacation is OVER!!

  1. That's a lot of miles in a short time. I hope you don't burn out going full time that fast. See you again soon, in a nearby park. Good luck on selling the house in the next few weeks.

  2. Dee,
We had to go that far to find some WARM weather ;o) No, that was just vacation mode...we learned from our previous full-time adventure about slowing the pace.

    Thanks for the reminder though!!

  3. Did you guys decide on a rig yet for full-timing? I seem to remember you didn't want to do it in the B. The pics look great as always! I will keep my fingers crossed for you on selling the house :)

  4. Yes boy is coming back hard. A "downer" as they say. But soon there won't be a coming back. I'm thinkin' house sale :-)

  5. Mike...we are narrowing our choice, but we will not full-time in the Van. Sell the house, then buy the WILL happen:o)))

  6. Sorry you had to come home, but soon...home will be where you are. Hopefully the house will sell for you quickly now that we're heading towards spring.

Great pix of the Charleston Bridge, crossed it may times and our SIL even ran a race across it when he was stationed at the Navy base.
