A Firm Date “Kinda” - Monday - March 12, 2012

I called Lazydays early this morning to get verification that our new home would be arriving on the 14th of March.  Joe, our salesman, told me he would make a couple of phone calls and call me back.  Within a half hour, Joe called me back with the info.

Here’s the latest…  The Journey is still on track to be at Lazydays on the 14th or 15th.  They want a couple of days to do a couple of add-ons we ordered with the unit. They will also do a full walk-thru, check everything and clean it up before we see it :o))  Joe said that, at the latest, the motorhome will be ready for us by Tuesday, March 20th.

So our plan is to rent a U-Haul Trailer on Sunday, the 18th.  Then spend the day packing the trailer and cleaning up the house for the new owners.  We will leave early on Monday, the 19th and drive to the Georgia/Florida state-line.  On Tues, the 20th we will drive to Lazydays to get our new home!!!

Since we are basically packed up, we are kind of camping at the house.  We plan on just chilling for the next week.  I already know I’m playing golf tomorrow.  Since I now have this “OPEN” living room & dining room, I have a great place to practice putting.

01 - Practice makes perfect!!

That’s all for now… I really need to PRACTICE!!!

  12. Lazydays have a great driving course, don't miss it. They have a free online course that is great for even those who own and drive for years. Great review.

  13. I wish we were as close to being on the road as you are. After our trip to the RV-Dreams rally last April we retired in August, went on a test trip in a rented Class C in October, and have our New Horizons on order now for delivery in early June. We're deep in the throes of yard sale/donation/trash (well, mostly donation and trash as craigslist has not been all that successful in ridding us of stuff. Rather than give it away for pennies; we'll likely end up donating most of our household stuff that doesn't go with us or to our son/family members and take tax deductions. We're keeping detailed lists of what was in each donation pile along with values we're getting from craigslist and ebay to keep the IRS happy. House goes on the market late April and we hope to get back from Kansas with the rig in late June, pack and hit the road.
