After booking the site, we got on our bikes and took a long ride half giggling about our lucky landing of the site in the keys. It really is like winning some sort of lottery!! Nancy has always said that we live a charmed life:o))
After our ride, we had a surprise visit from Wayne Huchins, another RV-Dreamer. Wayne and his wife Sherry are camped at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach. Sherry was working from their 5th wheel so we only got to chat with Wayne for an hour or two. We had met Wayne and Sherry at both the Willow Tree and Sevierville Rallies.
Wayne and Sherry have been full-timing for a couple of years. Sherry is working under contract with Indiana University. Fortunately for them, she can do much of her work on the road. Wayne is retired and work-camped this past summer at a KOA near Indiana University when Sherry needed to return there for work. It is great to meet up with RV-Dreamers and learn how they make this lifestyle work for them. It really is a diverse group of people.
I spent the better part of the afternoon cleaning out the outside storage areas and completing my monthly maintenance items. Yes Roger, I have a list for that also;o)) Nancy felt a little exhausted and took a well deserved nap.
It’s tough work getting special reservations!!
