WARNING: LOTS OF PHOTOS
Today was the last full day of the rally.
Seminars started at 8am and ended with a presentation by Bill Napier on Alaska. Nancy and I are really looking forward to a future trip to the great state of Alaska! We’ll get there some day! Thanks Bill & Linda.By the afternoon the weather had really changed for the RV open house. The wind picked up and the temperature dropped, but, that was not going to deter the RV-Dream family from touring about 20 rigs.
This "Toy Hauler" belongs to the Gimmarro Family. They plan to full-time with their two boys, Nicolas and Bryce. What a terrific family!!
Gail Houle gave us a great tour of their motorhome and explained many reasons why they choose their RV.
Even our little van had many visitors, but not too many see this baby as their full-time rig.
Tonight we had a catered dinner and as luck would have it we were the first table called to go through the food line. We were in the first three tables called every meal. Last year we always seemed to be last. However, Sherry Boyd told us that “Sometimes" David was our lucky charm. I’m now a believer – we were four for four in being in the top three! Thanks to the Boyd’s for sitting with us.
After the meal we had a rousing 60’s – 70’s dance with a DJ from Myrtle Beach. Nancy and I donned our tie-dye T-shirts to go with the theme. Howard Payne (or is it Howard Stern) got my vote for the best Hippie, although there were so many “cool” outfits.
Waiting for the party to begin.
Just before the party started, the RV-Dreams Family presented Howard and Linda with something called "The Hug Jug." It was filled with contributions to show our appreciation for all they do for all of us!!
THE HUG JUG!!
What a great time! Dancing, singing, games and laughing for hours with friends! I’ll say it again “It doesn’t get any better.”
I'll just let the pictures do the talking....
It was a special evening and we want to thank Howard and Linda. It is because of you two that we were all together and enjoy such a great group of people -- The RV-Dreams Family. We are ready to get rolling! When the house is sold we’ll be on the road – looking for our “new” friends along the way.
To Linda and Howard all we can say is that you are very special people to us – thanks for sharing your life with us. Hugs go out to both of you!!
Thanks for the pictures, it made us feel like we were there. Always lots of fun and laughter at the RV Dreams Rallys.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should go to the fall rally and catch up on all we missed.
Bill & Nancy,
ReplyDeleteSherri & I really enjoyed meeting you two; you made the rally a lot of fun. We enjoyed all the pictures you posted, it is always nice to remember what was happening with pictures.
We went onto Nashville & northern Mississippi and had a great time until today. We are hunkering down trying to withstand heavy storms in Heber Springs Ark.
It would be great to meet up with you on the road, or if we come to SC in the fall we will get together.
Take Care, Rorik & Sherri
